Associate PI Scheme

NIHR Associate Principal Investigator (PI) Scheme

The Associate Principal Investigator Scheme aims to develop the Principal Investigators (PIs) of the future!

It gives people who would not normally have the opportunity to take part in clinical research in their day-to-day role the chance to experience what it means to work on and deliver an NIHR portfolio trial under the mentorship of a Local PI.

LEADER-PAD is registered with the NIHR CRN Associate PI Scheme and is included in the List of Registered Studies on the NIHR Associate PI Scheme website. We strongly encourage all participating sites to identify trainees who would be interested in enrolling.

Potential Associate PI trainees can find details on how to apply on the Associate PI Scheme website Associate Principal Investigator Scheme | NIHR
